I just read "somewhere" (sorry) that it would be a 6x2 for a total of 12 compaired to nV40's 8 (8x1)?

I beleive Doom 3 will release the same time these new cards hit the market.
Carmack has optimised it already for these cards.
This will be very interesting indeed.
