Good lord do people drive fast on the Autobahn. I've never gone 125mph before but good god were we flying today. The thing is that we were keeping up with traffic. I thought I was going to die a couple of times when a slow moving person pulled out in front of us. Good thing I didn't try to drive down to Munich over the weekend. I would have killed myself.

the New york state police frown upon us doing 125, i've hit 120 though.. yeah it's annoying when people doing 80 pull out in front of you on the thruway, at least you don't have to watch for slow drivers AND state troopers.

I can say the same about doing 30 on some of the roads in my area, but people traverse them at 45 safely every day. The trick is to NOT SUDDENLY TURN THE WHEEL IN A DIRECTION YOU DON'T WANT TO GO.

Where in NY are there smooth/flat roads? Almost everywhere in NYC is broken up and patched.

when a person speaks of NY you are aware there is more to the state that NYC correct?
Thruway for one if you didn't read all my post, and almost EVERY backroad out where i live upstate.

I was in a car doing 120 on the Autobahn, and this car about 2 miles back starts flashing his high beams at us, to get us out of the way. He blew by us like we were standing still. Dunno what kinda car it was, just that it was damn fast.

Thruway for one if you didn't read all my post, and almost EVERY backroad out where i live upstate.

soo true. i live upstate and peopel always ask me where in teh city i live. and i camly tell them im 6 hours from teh city and they look at me like im crazy.

anyway ive hit 150+ on the roads near where i live. some highway type roads and some regular state routes
