Holy... Chlorine leak in Downers Grove, IL...update 2

Chlorine leak in downers Grove...5 alarm emergency call for ambulances, 2nd for fire manpower, 3rd alarm for hazmat...it will probably go up DO NOT GO TO DOWNERS GROVE!

I'd go take pics, but I dont wanna get sick.

Mass Casualties...ill find something tomorrow morning, this is sure to make the paper.

UPDATE:

LEAK IS BELIEVED TO BE INSIDE FIREHOUSE!

UPDATE 2: Chicago HAZMAT has been called out...squad 511

imagine this...all the ambulances from the surrounding towns, 5 towns out. roughly 30 of them responding NOW, and its gonna get bigger.

not yet. Im looking for some stuff...but it just started. Give to 2 to 3 hours. I love having a scanner in the house

That sucks... I'm in Lake Zurich, about 45 mins north.. worst we've had is when a chemical truck fell in the ditch like 5 years ago and leaked some toxic fumes all over the town... I got stuck at school till like 9 at night.

wooo... where was this leak. I gotta go to work at Downer Grove North HS. I knew it smelt like chlorine...

Chlorine gas is highly poisonous.
