Holocaust Mural Ideas?

I'm doing this mural on the Holocaust. I have a few hundred pictures of the concentration camps and things (all black and white) and I was trying to think of a good mural idea. I thought to maybe fill in Hitler's face with pictures of the Holocaust like that George Bush + American Soldiers picture but I'm not sure. Anyone else have any creative ideas?

Oh god, what a horrible idea for a mural.

Seriously, change it to something else.

The topic is the Holocaust and my idea is not far fetched from the original prompt. Nothing too extreme about it.

that big picture made of little pictures type montage thing is getting way overused.

I don't know how much research/effort you want to put into this but maybe you could look up some names and bio information of some Holocaust victims. Then use a messed up font, something like an old typewriter and put that information over your pictures in interesting ways. Maybe in "autopsy report" formatting or something else. I know it may be next to impossible but it would be cool if you could get the names and info of the people in your pictures.

I've always thought the most impacting presentations are those that have personal information. Seeing a name or a face is one thing, but seeing that along with who the person was kinda hits you in a certain way.

Just some thoughts and ideas...

A mural based on the holocaust is a horrible idea to being with.

Ok, the Hitler idea is TERRIBLE... If you wanted to do that tacky multiple pictures make up one thing (that's overdone anyways) do something that represent either judaic strength (a star of david/etc.) or peace/love/hope/etc... You don't want a giant picture of hitler... You could try to be political or- juxtaposing a burning gross to a swastika .. or you gan just make it a a little boy crying wearing rags.. simplicity is often a good thing..

Why? Would you rather no one ever spoke of it again? That's how this stuff gets repeated. Put up a huge mural for everyone to see and think about every now and again...

Does anyone have any specific Holocasut era pictures they'd like to share? I know there are quite a few of them that are pretty powerful and I'm sure I don't have them all. Also, any music suggestions to go along with a slideshow of some sort with these pictures?

You've got to be kidding me. You think that a mural is going to change anything ? Don't be stupid.

I am not saying that we should forget about it - I am saying that a large mural based on it is distasteful. By your reasoning you could paint a mural of the wtc falling to the ground and be justified in doing so.

Why wouldn't it change anything? It has the potential to shape the future.

And why is it distasteful to have a reminder or such an event? It would do those that died that day a disservice to just forget what happened.

That event will not be forgotten - and I do not think a mural will change anything. It is not distasteful to have a reminder of the event, it is distasteful to have a mural depicting the horrible suffering of thousands in your face every single time you walk by this wall.
