So, what? When will Jewish activists stop running around whining about Holocaust?

So self centered, only think about themselves and now want the world to feel for them too.

I know you wanted a reaction to your trolling so I will give you one:

STFU asswipe. Maybe we'll be lucky and somebody will gas you or put you in an oven.

Well, you see, the point here is that Hitler's armies killed every fourth person of my people. Every fourth. Also, my blood relatives were killed. Also, some of them went through concentration camps. Not all survived. These are my blood relatives. The people I actually know.

Now, how about them apples?

Now, I will repeat: Hitler (well, indirectly) killed every fourth of my people. My people, thus (if we are talking numbers) suffered the most causalities (proportionately to the whole population). BTW, after war, there was one, single building left standing in the capital of my country- just one.

And you don't hear Jewish activists ever mentioning this. Why? Because they are only interested in Jewish agenda. In getting people to give Jews money and support. Other people do not matter, the only people that matter are Jews - or so the Jewish activists seem to think, based on their actions.

Amazing, how I could write all this without acting like an idiot and using insults, huh? Why don't you give it a try next time, OK?

If someone disagrees, with my opinion, I'm all open to comments. Just skip insults and idiocy, OK?

That was pointed out because the girl was Jewish.

As for the rest of your post, those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it. There is a very active and growing movement in the world that actively denies the holocaust ever happened.
Weren't you the same guy who said not to wallow in our past but to enjoy the present ? Yes... it was the Thanksgiving thread.

Yes, it was. And the Jews are not wallowing in it. They are simply keeping the history from being hijacked by anti-semites with an agenda. The Jews have not let the history of the holocaust keep them down, In fact, they have thrived in spite of it.

As an interesting aside, I remember an editorial in a conservative jewish newspaper a few years back discussing a survey among Jews in which the majority characterized the Holocaust as the defining event of Judaism. The author was lamenting that Judaism seemed to have shifted from a religion to a cultural/ethnic identity among Jews (or at least American Jews). He wasn't denying that it was an important event, but that it shouldn't become the be-all and end-all of Judaism. Definitely an interesting perspective. I think the paper was the Jewish World Review.

Go fvck yourself. Why don't you tell that to my dead grandparents and great-grandparents and half the family on my father's side. Why don't you go to the gas chamber they were murdered in and tell them how they are self-centered. Burn in hell.

Every single holocaust museum mentions the other "undesirables." Granted, the Jews have been better organized and more vocal about it, but that's not a fault, that's a GOOD thing.

It was their activism that brought the story of the holocaust to the public's eye and made the world sensitive to genocide.

The U.S. Holocaust Museum in Washington, DC, certainly does. Sobering place, but we need to remember.

It has had that effect, but that designation was thrust upon them by the outside world more than anything else.

I would also like to point out that there are still Jews living that suffered directly from the Holocaust. No Indian can claim that, nor can a black make that claim over slavery.

As long as there are jews alive that suffered directly from the Holocaust, I think it's fine for them to allow that to define their lives. THEY LIVED IT. They are not wallowing in history, they are telling their OWN story.

Growing up in a jewish community my entire life, I heard about the holocaust, yet not a single word about how the Japanese murdered so many Chinese (nanking and all that) in much more brutal ways. I had to find out about it last year on ATOT.

I don't know who "your" people are and who you identify with, but since you mentioned a capital, I'm assuming that you are from a country that was at war with Germany. Congratulations, so was half the world. Hitler wasn't murdering them simply because of their religion or ethnicity. He was killing them BECAUSE HE WAS AT WAR WITH THEM.
My assumption may be wrong, but if I'm right, that's a HUGE, FUNDAMENTAL difference.

Not entirely true. The Germans committed mass murder on many Eastern Europeans because they were considered nearly as low as the Jews to them.

If you grew up in China, your story would likely be reversed. I see nothing really wrong with that, other than our education system needs to be a bit more broad in it's focus.

It was more of an FYI backing what Amused said. Don't be so defensive.

And yes the educational system needs to focus on all that happened rather than have us believe one group faced genocide while none other has... I was shocked to learn of Japan's aggressions here... I never realized why my dad held something back until I learned of this.

This is the reson for strained China-Japan relations to this day. Most people never bother to look into why and many history courses skip over the topic or only give it a quick treatment.

Unfortunately many people never actually venture into a library to see what has been left of if their textbooks.

If that was intended to make me feel like an ass you failed.

It is not the fault of the Jews they are making their OWN struggle known and your people haven't. I think regardless of what the Nazis did to your people that doesn't in anyway, shape or form detract what happened to the Jews either. You're presuming that I feel the only civilian victims of WWII were Jewish. That is not true in the least.

I grieve for all peoples who suffered under their hellish regime, not just the Jews.

True. But my point still stands - the Jews only care about the Jews. And, what's worse, they only want other people to care for only Jews too.

"Every single holocaust museum mentions the other "undesirables." "

But you never hear Jewish activist mention them now, do you? But you do hear time and time and time and time again from Jewish activists about Jews suffering from Hitler. Also, by idiotic responses from the people in this thread (none of these people, with the info I gave, can still guess what my nationality is though; interesting, huh? after all their BS talk how "nothing should be forgotten"; how about them apples, huh?) one can see how zombified about WWII most people are.

My point exactly.

I don't have a problem with a people as a whole - be that the French or the Jews, no matter - it's just a mass of people. I do, however, take disliking to the actions of certain representatives of a people.

The people who were sent to camps and murdered because of their religion and ethnicity were mostly Jews. Yes, he killed POW's, Gypsys, homosexuals and assorted other people who he felt were lower classes of humanity, but their number were dwarfed by the Jews. They were the main focus of the death camps. Of course many millions more were killed during the course of the war, but not specifically because of their ethnicity or religion.

While the murder of the Jews and other "undesierables" was more systematic, the murder of many Eastern Europeans was no less tragic, and no less meaningless. Whole villages were wiped out because the people were considered worthless races.

The only difference was the difference in the way the murder was carried out. These were not collateral damage deaths. They were intentional murder.

I already answered this. I'll paste it here for you:

Yes, it was. And the Jews are not wallowing in it. They are simply keeping the history from being hijacked by anti-semites with an agenda. The Jews have not let the history of the holocaust keep them down, In fact, they have thrived in spite of it.

I would also like to point out that there are still Jews living that suffered directly from the Holocaust. No Indian can claim that, nor can a black make that claim over slavery.

Wow. What else did you do, Descartes?

I spent almost a month in Europe, and about four days of that was in Amsterdam. We did all the "normal" things like the museums, went to Jordaan, etc. I really, really enjoyed Amsterdam. The people were very nice, the food was great (so much diversity), and there was much to do.

Yes, it was. They played readings of the diary as you walked through the house, so you could actually see what she was referencing.

"Six million Jews were killed in the Holocaust, including some 100,000 from the Netherlands. "

I don't know who "your" people are and who you identify with, but since you mentioned a capital, I'm assuming that you are from a country that was at war with Germany. Congratulations, so was half the world. Hitler wasn't murdering them simply because of their religion or ethnicity. He was killing them BECAUSE HE WAS AT WAR WITH THEM.
My assumption may be wrong, but if I'm right, that's a HUGE, FUNDAMENTAL difference.

Actually you are wrong. You know nothing of Hitler's policies. Don't write any more BS, please. Read, learn. Do not show idiocy and ignorance in public - hide it and cure it.
