One here in Decatur, AL apparently thought that was too cheap. So they tacked on their sign and cardboard cutouts 12.99 each. What a bunch of cheap Bozos. Luckily they did this after I got my selectons.

I think blockbuster is going to take over hollywood video..there's like 3 blockbuster near me but only 1 of hollywood video

Reverse happened where I am. We had all blockbuster and a local chain. Hollywood came in and bought all the blockbusters. For a few years they were competing with the prices of the local chain so the most I ever paid was $1.99 for 2 movies (rent 1 get 1 free any movie any format) for 5 days. *sigh* Too bad that deal is over 🙁

I remember when Hollywood Video 1st came to the SF Bay Area. There were a few, then I saw Blockbuster take over some of them, and then new HVs popped up. It seems like for every 3 BB around town, there's 2 HV to be found.

The sale is back for a few more days. Picked up about 6 titles this time. Pretty good selection. YMMV.

I just picked up Spiderman and Attack of The Clones, both 2 disk sets.
Not bad for 20 bones.
