I know there's some secret road that leads you to there...and people tag on those signs too....how do you get there??? Anyone know? ....how do you get to the top of that hill? Anyone know?

Google says its gated...fine...where's the closest you can get legally???
 
Get on that satellite photo page, type in a street name that is around that area, then use the little arrows to move the screen above the sign. Look around. Are there any streets leading around it? If the answer is yes, then follow them away from the sign and see where they lead. 😀
 
"There is no way to hike up to the front of the sign. The only way is to go walking up by the rear of Mt Lee. To do so, you have to drive to the end of Beachwood Drive. Once you get to the Hollywoodland entrance, keep going... The street will get narrow. You begin to feel that you are going the wrong way, but that´s the path... Reaching the end of the asphalt, you´re going to find a gate where you have to park. Beyond that it´s not private property, but it feels like it, since it´s all so quiet and the suspicion that someone is watching you... just keep on walking. You are going to hike around Mt Lee by this trail... Then you finally reach the top, where a fence protects the Sign, along with surveillance cameras... Very good view of LA and SF valley."

Yep, the folks on ATOT are always ready to help a dimwit get himself busted and thrown in poundmeintheass jail. 😉 BTW, when you get to jail, ask for a single cell. The group cells are most likely inhabited by people who have different sexual preferences than what you may be accustomed to. :Q

Its not a secret road. Just take the Barham exit -> Lake hollywood drive -> wind around the lake -> work youself up to the end of the public road. There is a lookout there and a mansion that used to be Modonnas (esther's). You can see the private blocked off road that leads to the sign. Be my guest and go on up. You WILL get busted. It is heavily guarded.
 
some guy proposed to his gf with that sign... he added the words "you marry me?" to the end of it. Of course her name was Holly. No joke.
 
oh and we tried to get there last year also... we drove up one of the roads and took a few turns on the side of a mountain, but it was gated... there was a stop spot for us to take some pics... and a hiking path that we never took... we were like half a mile away.
