Posted this on Tech Support forum but had no feedback. Posted this question on REALmagic newsgroup and had no feedback also. Might as well try here if anyone has the same setup.

I have the Epox 8K7A mobo with the hollywood+ dvd card. The installation went well and it plays MPEG files on monitor or TV-out without a glitch. However it just doesn't play DVD movies on my Toshiba 1502. I also have busmaster installed for the IDE channels.

I tried putting the H+ card on my P3V4X rig and everything works flawlessly. They both have a VisionTek GF2 GTS in it so I don't think it is a video card problem.

Is it a known issue with the VIA 686b chipset? Anyone out there with the same setup got any luck? Any input would be appreciated, thanks.

Should have tried this a long time ago. Installed VIA 4-in-1 (without AGP, of course) fixed the problem.
