That was a mistake on Mushkin's part. What they meant is that the 2TB will come in at $500 (i.e. $0.25/GB), whereas the 4TB will likely be at least twice that.

So SSDs have gone from being ~12x as expensive per GB to being around 8x as expensive recently. Huh.

Hope Seagate, WD and Toshiba get HAMR tech up and running soon.

Probably more than twice that due to the added complexity. It will be cheaper and you get better performance by buying 2x2TB drives.
