The Hitachi drive I recommended earlier is still a better choice than Seagate. It costs the same.

I agree unless the drive is the very newest Barracuda ST1000DM003 which also has 1TB platters. Without knowing specifics, the 7K1000.D is the safest choice.

Thanks for the suggestion. I changed my build list. Today I got in my disk drive, ram, and keyboard/ mouse.
