holiday laptop sales?

i suppose this is offtopic, because its not a hot deal.

i want to buy a laptop soon.

during the holiday season, are there any good deals? i mean, aside from the black friday or other sales where there are only two available, are there pretty good sales that are better than what i can find during the rest of the year?

anything better than the dell promotions during the holiday season? last question, whats the cheapest centrino notebook anyone has seen?

hmm, dell has pretty damn good deals. i think they sell some centrino notbooks as low as $600.
