Holden is coming to the US

I read an article today in Automotive Engineering, well a paragraph actually, that said Bob Lutz (GM bigwig) wants to bring Holden models (i.e RWD 5.7L V8 sedans) to the US as rebadged Chevrolet models.

Not sure how interesting this is, but in certain automotive circles, GM fans drool over the austrailian family car with an LT1.

The article said 2005 timeframe. Can you say the new Impala SS??
 
Ooo, Holden makes some sw33t touring/GT cars... if you watch Speed channel you know what I mean 😀
Gosh I hope this comes true... Bob Lutz (the Big bigwing at GM) has commented many times about Holden and how much he likes it/wants to pattern the rest of GM after it. Mebbe GM will start to suck less!

But then again, mebbe they'll just fire Lutz and Smith for the heresy of attempting to innovate at GM.
 
EDIT: it was actually Bob lutz they were quoting...not Jack Smith


That said, Bob Lutz is making things happen internally at GM (thank god...my employer)
