Holy CRAP! Wow! That's straight up dope right there. Four minutes of adrenaline pounding mountain biking. What kind of bike is it?

Cool shit :)

We used to do some pretty psychotic trail riding in trees and jumps in the 70's.

Not that crazy, but not a long ways off either, we were building our own mountain bikes out of stingrays slapping knobbies and shocks on them, etc.

There were miles of overlapping bikes trials and jumps and a party tree people would hang out at near the center.

this sort of stuff would be the reason to go whole hog on VR. multi cams for 360 coverage, maybe some pupil tracking on the rider to see what he is focusing on, extra head transfer audio sampling.

shit, I couldn't even do that in a video game. I like how the course lane is lined with spiked tree hazards for no apparent reason.

My cousin used to do this kind of thing, even designed pro courses like this, years ago. After the 3rd total body destruction and recovery (full body cast twice!), he moved on to other things. ...law enforcement, I think. lol.

I';; admit it ... I have more courage to hiring a high priced call girl than trying to prove something on a bicycle.

Nope! I had to pause it at the halfway mark to catch my breath.

Do each of the foam-wrapped trees represent a broken limb or ribs from a previous trial?

I wouldn't have brake pads left after doing that. Brief periods of carrying a bike interspersed with something that looks a lot like a granny on a lawnmower :^D

I watched it all the way through early this morning, but I think the lack of coffee was the only reason. My brain was not processing it completely. I'm with you, the little stump cordons at the top were enough. Then the trees with death spikes. Selected trees were padded like empty chambers in russian roulette, but there were plenty of other loaded chambers.
