I just joined team Anandtech for RC5/OGR, my p4 seems to be crunching pretty nice. 😉 I have another i'm gonna setup over the weekend to do the same.

Anyway, just wanted to drop a line to say whazzup!

(now if they'd only come out with a P4-core for RC5 quick, fast, and in a hurry, you'd kick some arse... 😉)
 
yea... just so you know, P4's kick ass but G4's go WAY faster at rc5 and amdk7 comes in a distant second. But seeing as we (usually) cant buy our computers to fit our RC5 needs, its all good! btw, you should just do RC5, we are falling behind in second place and need all the help we can get!!
 
Yeah, I knew G4's rocked at it... My friend was admin for 20th Century Fox and setup the graphics department to crunch, he had a rockin' herd to say the least!

You can either manually edit the dnet.ini file, "[misc]" section to look like this:

[misc]
project-priority=RC5,OGR=0,DES=0,CSC=0

-or-

You can bring up the menu, select #2 "Buffer and Buffer update options", then select #9 "Load-work precedence" and change it there to the same... "RC5,OGR=0,DES=0,CSC=0"... then save and restart! 🙂
 
Josh, your friend that set up the G4's wouldn't perhaps need a team to join, would he? I know a fantastic team that would welcome him just like we have welcomed you.

Welcome soulfly, as you've already found out.........this is the most friendly forum, I believe, you'll find on the net..........Any question regardless how basic or simple will get an honest response......although they won't let you get lazy, you'll have to do some of your own digging............and FYI.......beware of Poof........She knows way too much for any sane person........it's scarey..............LOL
