Happened to a friend of mine when we were ~17-18yo. His nut got the size of a grapefruit and his girlfriend was really concerned but he had no longtime consequences. Still was in hospital with excruciating pain for a while though. BTW, last I heard they never got married but are still together 34 years later (no children AFAIK).

You're a day late on that one. Thoresen is out of the hospital, no mention of surgery or ball count, but he was only there for a day or so. I saw the play, and now that I know where he got hit, I'm surprised he got up as fast as he did.

reminds me of an incident in the Pipeline Masters.

Sunny Garcia got speared in the nuts by his surfboard during a wipeout.

there was no RTV picking him up at water's edge, so i guess he just
shrugged it off.
