Hockey Fans: seasons tickets worth it?

My fiancee is an avid Dallas Stars fan.

I do enjoy watching hockey on TV, and going to the occasional game at the arena.

I was thinking of getting a pair of seasons tix in the nosebleed seats for us. It'd cost about $1K but for my sweetie, that's doable.

I'm just wondering if I'm going to resent driving out to American Airlines center that many times. Has anyone here ever had seasons tix to a sport and later decided it wasn't worth it?

if you've got friends or co-workers you could sell tickets to if need be, I'd go for it. It'd be great to be able to go see any game you wanted, and when you go to that many games you get a real connection with the team and the fans, it's great.

I went to all the playoff games for the celts a couple years back and it was great, nothing could compare :)

also hockey is nearly unwatchable for me on TV so if i was an avid fan I'd have to go see the games live.

you could check to see if the stars have any smaller ticket plans, like a 10 game plan that you could get for slightly better seats and not as high of a price. there are 41 games in a season, i don't know if you plan on making EVERY single one if you're not that big of a fan.
