The joys of shifting data 😛

Now to move 120Gb from my busted 160Gb WD drive to the RMA one. Dam it why did I back up my avi captures from the DV cam?! As it takes real time to capture the dam thing!

Can't wait until I can shift 1Gb in about 10seconds or so in the future 😀

I think a quad raid array with 4 processors mobo pc setup can shift about 1Gb in about that time I think? Or 20seconds I think? Read something like that about 2 years back.

So when do you think we will get drives that can provide a constant 100Mb second transfer rate 😀

some people lost their stuff 🙁

The WD 120GB I have right now replaced one of the same type. HTat drive died and I lost 11GB worth of stuff🙁

As for qualm, SCSI can move from disk to disk @ about 70+MB/s per drive, if you have a segate cheetah 15.3k

a raid array can do well over 100MB/s

2Gb/s fiber for an array = 250MB/s 😀
