Hmmmm, think this is my tv or my gamecube?

When i first turn on my GC sometimes, it comes out black and white...

Its hooked into my new tv using the Monster S-Video GC Cable....

Unplugging the cable from the GC and plugging it back in corrects it, but do you think its the GC or the new tv? Never had this happen w/ my old one.

That may be a problem with your cable or some of the pins on the game cube. I once had a problem where my S-Video input was showing only black and white and it turns out I bent a pin on my S-Video cable. Maybe you have a loose connection or something.

Its the TV not being able to decode the signal, I had this problem with my TV card until DScaler team released a version with better support for CX23xxx

The problem shouldn't be intermittent in this case though... I'd guess it's a loose connection or bent pin.

Is the outer metal ring of the cable solid or does it have a split in it? If it has a split, try expanding both ends slightly with a pair of needlenose pliers. B&W usually indicates that the cable isn't making full contact. I've had the same problem before and that fixed it.
