Circuit City has an awesome extended coverage warranty for 100 bucks on most items, so for 150 bucks more than Amazon you're covered for 3 years. You should look into it.

Buy local, shipping is a b!tch. Imagine if the TV was DOA, OMG that would set you back big time on shipping.:D

except it is not 100

50 " DLP extended warranty $600

it does cover bulbs however but still definitely not worth it to me

Does the warranty cover bulbs?

I looked over the verbiage and it specifically says NO consumables. Of course one could argue that you should not personally consume a metal halide bulb -- eating sushi is better way to reach your Hg quota. :p

I'm wondering because my PJ has a bulb that costs $468. (best price found on PG) The extended warranty is $249 for four years...

Cheers!

For the extended warranty, shipping back and convenience I would buy from CC.
