I recently hooked up my main comp to my Vizio 37" LCD HDTV and no matter where I had the settings, it looked like crap and the audio was terrible. I became curious so I hooked up my Dell Inspiron to it via VGA and ran a simple audio input cable and WOW. B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L. I don't get it. I have a Radeon 4670 btw. However my Sony Blu-Ray player hooked up via the same HDMI cable looks and sounds spectacular. So its gotta be the video card. I'm just surprised, you would think a GRAPHICS card would put out, you know, decent graphics via the HDMI if its going to have it.

Lots of people, myself included, have experienced the same results with HDMI. If you search around, you'll see there are 2 or 3 threads going right now. I have to go back & forth between HDMI & VGA + Toslink whenever I watch a BR movie on the PC. Kinda sucks, but I haven't found a better solution yet.
