Just the watermelon itself, and it would turn into goop and would be pretty nasty unless you ate it while it was still slushy perhaps.

When the water freezes,it would cause all the cells inside the watermelon to burst, resulting something that doesen't really resemble watermelon internals.. lol

That was kinda cool, with the explanations and all.

Of coure, if that is true (I'd try it out myself, but I don't have a job at this point . . . .)

:p

If you like really slushy/ripe watermelon, it would probably be pretty good, as long as you ate it while still slushy/cold(IMO).. I don't think it would be very good if you let it warm up again, but I guess that would kinda defeat the purpose of putting it into the freezer in the first place..

I'm not a big fan of watermelon, so ... lol

Of course, I could be wrong. Maybe watermelon cells are very strong or stretchy and don't burst when frozen or something. ;)

I imagine that the whole melon itself would crack/split.. Depending on where the crack formed, it could probably be a little messy.. but I don't think it's going to explode or anything, like a soda can can.

can can can..

lol

I suspect that Eli's right, unless you cut a hole in the side of the melon for expansion.
