OK, now look at this statement the author made:

The potential change in DOD policy comes at a time when the pool of U.S. citizens with IT skills is shrinking rapidly and many companies are off-setting higher salaries demanded by U.S. workers with overseas talent.


I realize that statement isn't exactly the whole point of the article (well, sort of but not quite), but exactly what kind of weed is this guy smoking? There aren't enough unemployed IT U.S. citizens? Has this guy even looked at the unemployment rates lately? There's probably dozens maybe hundreds of unemployed geeks that are registered users on this board and this is a tiny fraction of the population. Just because U.S. companies aren't willing to pay "higher salries demanded by U.S.workers" and want to hire cheap labor doesn't mean that there aren't any U.S. citizens that could use the job.

This editor needs a good smack upside the head.
