Sounds good to me. Oakland beat Seattle like a red-headed step-child in their last series of the year.

seattle up on chicago, 2 games to none

yeah it does sound good. oakland manhandled seattle before the season ended, and i'm hoping that oakland will make it into the world series. remember the Bay bridge series of 1989, where it was SF Giants vs. A's in the world series? i hope we'll see another Bay bridge series, minus the earth quake! :frown:

No kidding Russ, they were swinging at the first pitch...that's good for the playoffs :p

I still hold true to my prediction that Oakland WILL go to the World Series. They're very hot right now and might even win it all.

As for NL, I'm guessing either the Giants or Cards. Giants are a b*tch to play at home, but the Cards have got a lot of power in the small stadium, that is, if they make it past the Braves. But then again, the Cards do have that 18 year plan...

Seph,

Don't get excited. They're just setting you up for the fall.

Being a long suffering Mariners fan, I hope that they do make it but being realistic I wouldn't bet the farm ;)

Isnt that the truth with EVERY Seattle sports team, Russ? ;)

Seph,

Yes it is. They all suck. They should all change their names to the Seattle Maybe Next Year's.

Braves will dominate. They just needed to get some sleep. They've now got their game faces on. They only had one bad inning. Everyone can now kiss their chances goodbye.

The Cardinals 18 Year Plan...

18 years ago in 1982 they won the World Series
18 years before that they won the World Series (1964)
18 years before that they won the World Series (1946)

Could it be their time this year in 2000?
