Hmmm, pudding. :( jello brand pudding but still pudding. :) Pistachio flavor.

ok, i "made" some jello brand pudding last night. i say "made" because all you do is take 2 cups of milk and mix it with their powder and chill. that's it. any moron can do that.

now, here is another question for our chefs out there. how do you make homemade pudding?? is it gelatin based?? i think it's milk based right??

anyone have any good home recipies for pudding?

Is this the pistachio pudding where the nuts appear out of thin air when you add liquid?

hmmm. i'm not sure. i thought i saw the nuts in the powder when i mixed it w/ the milk. :)

Chocolate Pudding


6 tablespoons sugar
3 tablespoons cornstarch
1 1/2 tablespoons cocoa powder
Pinch salt
2 1/4 cups heavy cream
1 1/4 cups milk
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
6 ounces best-quality semisweet chocolate, finely chopped
1 1/2 tablespoons unsalted butter, cut into small pieces
In a medium saucepan, whisk together sugar, cornstarch, cocoa, and salt. In a 4-cup measuring cup, combine 1 1/4 cups heavy cream with milk and vanilla. Whisk 1 cup cream mixture into dry ingredients until cornstarch is completely dissolved. Whisk in remaining cream mixture until smooth.

here ya go!!!
