I'm 16 years old and I was a lifeguard last summer, but I'm looking to get a job now. Im experienced with computers, know HTML if needed. I was thinking about starting up a website making business for local companys, but that would take way to much time to compare that with Ice Hockey( when it starts) and school work. I'm thinking that I could be a salesperson for a small computer shop easily and help people with minor probelms or larger probelms if needed.. the only probelm is I was told by a friend that to be a salesperson like that you pretty much have to be 18 no matter how hard of a worker you are or how experienced you are. I have seen WAY to many idiots at Staples, CompUSA, BestBuy , and even mom and pop stores that are 30+ and have no clue what a duron is...

I'm 15 and I work for a Mom and Pop shop. Try those shops, most of them are pretty cool and kickback.

What kind of pay/work do you get? Please be detailed if at all possible :). Also please tell me how you inquired for the job, because like I said most of the people I see in there are 30+ and have no real clue, also what do you do, and what did you tell them you knew before hired :p.

Here's a better idea. Goto http://www.domainzero.com and register a bunch of those Mom and Pop shops (free to you of course). Then, not only can you build their website, but you can sell them their domain name as well.

OMG, I was can make SUCH a better website than most of the mom and shops websites here, and would enjoy doing it, but I would rather have a kind of sales person job , waiting for a response from some more people or urbantechie, thanks ALL!:)

Hehehe..I was trying to write something in ASCI!

Anyways, the shop isn't too far from my house so I skate there. I know someone that works there so I asked if I could get a job under the table and they said sure. I get paid $10 an hour. I also get parts at cost. I deal with strictly software problems. We have our own hardware guy. But if hes not there, I have to build machines and fix hardware problems. They were skeptical at first so they gave me a test run for a week, they were impressed (so were the consultants they knew!) and hired me!

Impact55,

I've seen your pic you posted and I had hoped you were kidding. You are just not my type of girl.
