The front panel hooks up with the sound card using a somewhat standard looking p-ata cable. I'm wondering if i could use a different cable than the one that was supplied to me (i'd prefer something rounded maybe, the standard grey color just isn't doing it for me). Anybody have any experience with this?

No idea but I've always wanted to wire the front panel pins to work with the case front line out and mic plugs.

yeah, i was thinking about that, but then i realized there is no point because the front panel does the same thing for me.

Except I don't have a front panel. Audigy Gamer ftl 🙁.

i bet it would be pretty easy to look up and do. just hope your front panel jacks are pinned out correctly or something.

Don't know which front panel pin corresponds to what because the documentation by creative sucks.
