If you could choose an enterprise wide solution hwta would you select and why?

I have an environment that has wintel boxes with MS Server 2003 on them. It doesn't mean however that I would be stuck with .Net because I have access to other boxes that have IBM WAS (WebSphere Application Server) and Apache, so I could go JSP.

This would normally be in the software or networking forums but I wanted people's opinions and feelings on it as I have come to understand carries more weight than technical relevance.

If people have a strong feeling about something, even if there is no factual or technical basis for their argument, then that feeling sometimes influences people more than facts, especially if the people involved do not understand the technical side of it.

Agree 100%

I've used JSP, ASP, ASP.NET 1.1, and ASP.NET 2.0 all on a professional level. ASP.NET 2.0 is vastly superior in most ways.

I'd select JSP/J2EE in very rare situations.

JSP is a little better than regular ASP. But ASP.net, any version, is worlds better. Since the poll only says ASP I am not sure how to vote.
