yesterday at this time, i was idling at 39C (graphic card), 40C (cpu), 28C (mobo) (x800xtpe&VF900 ++ winchester @2.5&scythe ninjaPlus ++ 2 intake, 1 exhaust akasa 'amber' 80mm case fans.

well last night i read something about negative pressure being better - which suggested i should have 2 exhaust and 1 intake instead. So I did so, turned it on and temps were 2c cooler. Not bad i thought.... Then went to bed!!

Just got on now, even after 30mins just browsing, my gpu at 32.5C, cpu at 34C, and mobo at 22C!!! and ambient temperature is about the same....... 😀 So exhaust FTW it seems *hopes temp sensors are not fubared!*
Just thought id share 😉

Key word being last night. Your house gets cooler in the night, usually. 1-2C, possibly, then again, maybe not.

But hey, negative pressure could be decent. Congrats. 🙂

Negitive and Possitive pressure can be vary so intensily depending on your case layout. I on the other hard dont rely that much on pressure at all because my radiator does 80% of the cooling for my internals and its located outside. However on my NAS box, possitive pressure is better then negitive because it was designed in such a way that hot air can be exhausted without much effort on the top.

To answer avi's statement, both - + pressure will cause high dust to enter the case. Its on how well you put up dust covers and do regular maintence on your case that will prevent this.

Anyhow, as Trevor stated, nights tend to be a lot cooler then days so it might be that your ambient temps were just lower. Anyhow good job tinkering and discovering what settings are better, but to state blandly that negitive pressure is the best is kinda far fetched.
