Hmm...Why won't my BFG 7800 GTX OC at ALL?

Finally got sufficient enough air cooling in my rig to try and OC the video cards. However, using Coolbits and 78.01, I cannot even OC the clock freq by 1 MHz. If the only value I change is from 460 -> 461 MHz, then click Test Changes...I get "The test failed to run at the selected clock frequencies. Please lower your settings and try again."

Now I've heard that BFG's have had a rough time OC'ing in the past, but this is a lil' absurd. Any ideas as to what's going on?

(oh, and my GPU temps are hovering around 51c)

Don't worry about OCing with your card, you have too much power already... I just wish I could have one ;) (my 6800GT does me fine)

You already have too much power, but I think that It could be a problem with overclocking in SLI. Try overclocking just one card (turn off SLI), and see if it works. Try NVTweak, I use that and it works good.

Idle or load? For load that's awesome temps

Idle :) Hehe...the 7800 GTX's are known for their low temps. In fact, nvidia sets the "Core Slowdown Threshold" for these cards at a whoping 115c.

lol you wont get much OCing the GTX in SLI anyway. just try to disable SLI and OC them 1 at a time. your temps are good btw...my GTX idles at about 49C and goes to about 72-73C at load.
