Gigabyte makes the k8ns-pro with nforce3 chipset. Newegg has them refurbished for $59 right now. Don't know how many accessories you'll get with it. May be bare board only. The board has many reviews at newegg in the new boards section.

Do you have a preference in chipset?
there are a decent number of choices, and you can easily get a good board for that A64 3200 CPU...
Do you have a price range?

Horror stories? One of the easiest things I have ever done in my life was setting up that motherboard(the asus k8v se dlx) There are always people who have problems with things, and if you are judging by this forums thread, most of the problems are all user error, and dont forget that is the only official troubleshooting thread for a motherboard at this forum. If you arent overclocking, just look for a good name. If you think the K8V Deluxe is a troublesome board, I dare you to head down to the MSI forums. After about 15 minutes of browsing that forum, I decided against that motherboard.

MSI K8N Neo Plat was trash... USB ports gave out a couple days after I got it.

Chaintech ZNF-250 (the gold shiny one) has treated me so far so good... onboard sound is nice, temp sensor on the front panel is snazzy.

well all chipsets have pro's and cons..funny how intel was suing via over the ddr chipset release with shuttle I got the first ddr 478 board ever made...and it is a great board it was a shuttle avr something ...now via makes chipsets for asus...waky world ... via is fine and nforce is good too..well I am looking to spend 200 canadian..about 160 american... about msi boards i got a msi socket 478 thats messed up i will not get msi again...alot of dealers here pushing asrock...they sound too cheap to be good..so hopefully someone here can help me choose...choosing a mobo is like choosing a wife...best to make right decision....get right one first time and live with choices...

I may push my chip abit to make it faster..but i am a newbie at that game...i will be reading here for some pointers...thanks
