I just updated my BIOS with the drivers off of my manufacturers website and now the monitor won't come on and USB devices won't work... My power button works to turn my computer on but not off... My keyboard works and everything else seems fine, I don't hear my computer POST though when I turn it out... ANy ideas, somone from here told me to do this to fix a previous problem... I took out the CMOS for 30minutes and changed the jumpers and I also tried unplugging a few things like my computers monitor... IF I fried my motherboard I'm going to be pissed because I listened to somone from here when I shouldn't have because he was probably some little computer novice or somthing... Anywho, Anyway I can fix this without buying a new motherboard.. I used exact updates and I also did it right.. I knew flashing was risky but I didn't realize updating and Flashing were the same thing... Please help me figure this out or I have to wait until 1-2 weeks after christmas to get a new motherboard... :-/

Are you sure you used the right BIOS?

Did it complete successfully?

Flashing I figured was changing it, as in if you Flash a 9800PRO with XT BIOS you can make it a 9800XT... I figured updating would just be updating... How is that contradicting myself, why don't people just use 1 term instead? I am deffinatly not a computer novice.. Not a expert but probably a intermediate.
