I just got a text message from my apartment manager..

"enough explosions for the night"

He is an ex-marine and he owns a gun. I think I will turn CoD MW2 off for now... :)

So much for buying a HSU sub.. hahah

You could try an Auralax sub-dude, but I suspect it won't make much difference.

I used to own Klipsch Pro-Media 2.1 system, wasn't playing it loud, and lady in apartment above me knocked on my door and told me to turn it down.

I lived on first floor with concrete floors, too.

*Infinity's proprietary Room Adaptive Bass Optimization System (R.A.B.O.S.) utilizes a single band of parametric equalization to tame the most prominent room, mode or bass peak. These bass peaks exaggerate the sounds at their frequency resulting in bass performance that is often sloppy or boomy. By reducing the level of this peak, you are able to hear deeper, more detailed low frequencies.

Maybe you needed to do more research before buying your sub for an apartment? If you could equalize the peak (provided you know what the peak is) that is causing the boominess, you might have a lot happier neighbors.

Wow, a single band parametric equalizer... Infinity really has something there

So if he balances out the peak and has a flat room response at 112db that'll leave him with happy neighbors?

Unfortunately, the only apartments I have had luck with subwoofers are the newer ones with slab floor and ceilings (my current apartment). Only thing you can do is just use the subwoofer during the day, and turn it down during the early night, and turn it completely off later at night :/
