hmm replacement OS media..?

So somehow I lost my Win7 Pro media. I still have the code. Can I contact MS to get a replacement copy?

Sweet! I had to do a little phone run around, but I ended up getting a copy of Win7 Pro FULL for $30 shipped!
 
$30?! I hope they're shipping a key with that. For just the media that would be insane.
 
If I remember correctly I paid around $ 10 to have a 64 bit version of the Vista Home Premium media shipped to me at one time. $ 30 sounds a bit steep to me.

Actually I was going the other direction: it would be just like MS to realize you already have a key and charge you $30 for just a disc. If he paid $30 and is getting a new key too, he's getting a much better deal than the other way around.
 
well. that is going to suck, if I have a CD I cant use ... I'll update this thread when it arrives.
 
I've never actually purchased replacement media from Microsoft, but the $30 pricetag sounds awfully similar to what I've heard/read.

I had originally purchased an OEM Vista Home Premium from an online vendor. I recieved a 32 bit version. What I paid $ 10.00 for was the 64 bit DVD and I used the same key after I reinstalled the 64 bit version. If you got an upgrade DVD thats a different story and $ 30.00 sounds more than fair if say you upgraded to the Business version or to ultimate. I didn't do that.
 
It arrived...

and it included a W7 Pro key.
