Ad in local papers says ISP has DSL for $19.99 640/250 (I currently have 250/250), so I switch. I don't see a speed change, so I call them up and they say if I wanted 640/250, I need to call my line provider (Qwest) and request that they do it and pay the extra $10 a month to upgrade. Now I saw the ad and i thought they ISP would give me 640/250, but they say it's up to Qwest.
So my question is, is it really Qwest that has to do it? If it is, then why do I even need this ISP when I could go through Qwest for everything and just pay one bill? Am I just getting the shaft from the tech support guy or do I really needa call Qwest and upgrade through them? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
