Hmm, is there a way to do this?

Sorry for the vague title, but:

OK, I'm trying to record a few songs (yes, still). Here's my "gear" that I have:

My computer (duh) with N-Tracks on it.
a few solid mics, including one SM-57
a BOSS BR-532 Digital 4-Track Recorder
A Roland EM-10 Keyboard (by far the cheapest of equipment in the set)
FruityLoops

Alright, I'm trying to record a rock/pop tune that has drums, bass, acoustic guitar, vocals, and piano. Drums are being taken care of by fruityloops quite satisfactorily, piano is being recorded on a legitimate piano, so that sounds good. Vocals are obvious. All that's left is bass and guitar.

The bass sound I've come up with, (by combining sounds from my keyboard with effects on the Boss Recorder), I can live with. The acoustic guitar on the other hand...

I can't seem to come up with a good combination to get a good acoustic guitar sound. Too thick, too sharp, too light, or whatever. But mostly, too unrealistic. There's all kinds of wonderful options for guitar players, which I am not. Is there anyway I can wire up my keyboard to the computer, and have it translate whatever I play into an acoustic guitar sound? Are there any programs or something that do this? What about samples, what are they, what do they do, how do you use them?

And before you say it: I've posted on Roland/Boss Message Boards, Harmony Central Forums, and a Yahoo Club dedicated to the BR-532. I got some help with other issues I was having, but no luck in this department. So, naturally, I turn to AT. 🙂

Thanks everybody, hope you're all having a good Superbowl Sunday.

What version of fruity loops are you running? There might be an acoustic guitar patch on the default install, although I'm not really sure how realistic it will sound. How familar are you with sequencing software (Cakewalk, Logic or Cubase) because I'm sure you could find a solid VST plugin.

You sound like someone who records often (praise the lord). 🙂

FruityLoops is version 3.5.5, 3.6 will be mine once they get the check. How would you use the Acoustic Guitar patch? Like, what would it do? Would I be able to play what I wanted with it, or is it set in stone basically?

I have never used sequencing software, I'm pretty new at this. I had Acoustica at one point, but never really got into it. N-Tracks is the only software I have these days (Pro Tools FREE doesn't work with WinXP).

Any help is greatly appreciated!
