hmm how do you know when to drop bombs in a jet?

So I fanally got the hang of flying jets in bf2 and can take out alot of people with missles and the cannon (mmm full blackhawks 😛). NOw I like flying the jets alot. The only thing I dont get is the bombs. how do you know when to drop them?

Know this is a little Ot, but nik isn't on and you guys rock 🙂

when your target is at the bottom of the vertical line on your HUD

drop them on friendly troops. :roll:

You have to take a few factors into consideration:

altitude
wind speed and heading
your speed and heading
weight of bomb
height of target
maximum blast radius

Plug in a few numbers and you are all set.

the line on your HUD. I've never played BF2 but in decent sims, so I suppose in real life too, modern jets have automated bombsites that display on the HUD, so you will have a marking on your HUD telling you roughly where the bomb will land if you drop it at that particular moment.
