Yeah, I know I'll probably find a better job. And I kinda figured it was coming. When you go to work and they scrounge everywhere for something for you to do, things are bad. I'm not really mad or anything, just.. I dunno, I don't really look forward to starting a new job, heh.


I don't think there's any severance, lol. i'm going to file for unemployment, and start lookin for a new job. Heh... This job paid kinda low anyway, only 7.70/hr. It was annoying. But it was a pretty good job. I didn't hate it anyway. The best part is it's about 5 minutes away (on scooter, >25mph).. But oh well, life goes on again.. Just have to know that my new job will be better.

Hey sorry to hear that...a job is a job...

I am from the portland area as well and now how the high tech sector here is laying off quite a few people...Hell I am waiting on delayed Intel projects for work for our guys. Several local companies were all set for expansion abut a year ago and have backed out of them. So it also hurts the construction industry as well...

I think most of the people here saying that its a good opportunity to collect unemployment benefits and enjoy summer have not had the experience of getting laid off. Its a very stressful time for the majority of people who find themselves in this position and truly enjoying anything can be quite difficult.
