Hmm, Crossfire DX10 ?

I was thinking, if i buy a normal X1900XT today, and buy an X2000XT Crossfire edition in december that supports DirectX10, would I be able to crossfire both cards ?

No, the GPU's need to be the same series as it stands currently.

I doubt it. There were rumors last year that the x1800CF will work with the x800 cards, but that didnt happen either, and I dont see much appeal for that feature. It would require additional effort and expenses to get old cards to work with new ones, and in the end you'd still be limited by the old card's performance and lack of newer features.
