Hmm.. Christmas present.

On of my cousins broke his legs the other week and so he's basically stuck at home all day. I figure since christmas is coming up anyway, he wouldn't mind an early present to help pass the time.

He has the games and such, but I figure I'd get him that might help a little more then having a more powerful WoW character. He lives in Texas though, so I can't really pick one out for him. I'm just going to order online and have it shipped to him. I'm thinking to stay under $300 to get him started.

rowse=">this yamaha kit from costco</a>, or this agile from rondo. What do you guys think would be better? I can probably find a cheap amp of craigslist and send him another 40 bucks or so for accessories if I get him the Rondo.

Of course, I don't know any thing about guitars, so I figure in the future, I'll ask him to pick some out for me. 😀

I don't know about the guitars, but the basses from Rondo have excellent ratings despite their cheap prices. Usually all they need is a good set of strings and a good setup, and they're good to go. Hard to say, but that is my experience...

Thanks for being the only reply. Going to pull the trigger on the agile later today if nobody comes in and says the yamaha is a great deal.

Definately the Agile. I have an AL-3000 in honey burst and it's a really nice guitar for the money.
