because the cc company is run by a bunch of idiots. Call them and they'll probably just dismiss the leftover balance.

I sent my CC a check for $10.00 for a blance due of $8.17 cause each month when I thought it was paid off there was a small amount tacked on for interest, they had to send me a refund check for $1.83 😛
