Hmm, boss's wife just called in a few minutes ago

She just called in to his office line a few minutes ago, saying that she thinks she may have lost: her credit cards, her drivers license, and...social security card.

How she lost it, was because she was at the grocery store, digging through her purse for cash or something, so in the process she took out her wallet, paid for the groceries, and somehow left her wallet behind, which, for a reason that no one can explain, contained her social security card in there. She does two little kids too, who I assume was with her...which may have distracted her a bit, but still.

Furthermore, she was at the grocery store YESTERDAY, and now just made the realization.

My boss gets a wee bit upset at all this, as one can imagine, tells her to call the store, get a new license, cancel the cc's, and he'll see what he can do about the SS card.

Then... a few minutes later, she calls back and says, "Oh! I found them all, don't worry!"

😕

I've got mine in my wallet. then again anywhere I go, I check keys, phone, wallet.

Leaving it at home is just as bad. My friend is kind of lazy, so he'd rather leave $3,000 in cash + his passport at home instead of putting it in a bank or safe. Then he got robbed. The thief took money, passport, and his laptop too :/

You should not leave your SS card in your wallet. That's stupid. How often do you need it? 😕

I used to do that. I've stopped since I somehow lost the card (but not the wallet), and had to go through getting a new card.

I used to carry it with me because I worked a lot of contract jobs and was always starting a new job and had to provide them with two forms of id. It was just a lot easier than taking it in and out all the time. Plus, no one believes they're going to lose their wallet.
