Sorry if this has been posted a million times. I have a ti4600 in right now. Would I get better performance in HL2 if I traded for a 5600nu or 9600np? Will dx9 support really matter that much in hl2?

Just wait until hl2 comes out. It's futile to upgrade now for a game that won't be out for another 5 months.

9600 non pro would od half life 2 better simply because, the ti4600 slows down more then a 9600 with the same amount of eye candy turned on, on low settings a ti4600 would be faster, but 9600 takes alot less of a hit doing high settings, and the 9600 would kick at high res.

It's going to kick at high res with eye candy? Yeah right. The card doesn't have enough gpu power, plus it only has 6.4GB/s bandwidth vs 10.4GB/s on the ti4600.
