HL2 system specs vs. AMD naming system

I searched and couldn't find any posts on the topic. The reccomended system spec for the CPU is 2.4GHz. Does that mean actual cycles, or does it include the AMD naming system? So, does a 2500+ meet the requirement? If not, what's he equivalent AMD spec?

You will notice some lag in the sound, etc. I'm running on a 2400+ and no matter what I do, I have this (although it's not that bad). What I'm saying is the game is CPU-intensive.

I heard it's a bug that everyone gets regardless of CPU speed, but I could be wrong.

Actually I'm running 2000+ with only a GFTi4200 64MB. Amazingly, it runs pretty well. Set world details to Medium, character details to High and of course there's no AA/AF settings turned on. But VERY playable. Helluva playable than Doom3.

this lag affects everyone. it's a game issue. not system-related.
