HL2 leak-> Publicity stunt?

look at all the interests being generated on HL2. It even got mentioned on cnn.com on it's front page!

they release only 1/3 of the source code. bet it's mostly useless.

they delay the game (again) and needed a scapegoat why.

they leak/release a pre-Beta version to pacify the public.

any other conspiracy theorists out there?

it's possible, I think it's sorta stupid either way, but it's always possible. It wouldn't surprise me in the least

nVidia paying for the delay is far more credible than an intentional release of that much source code.

I'm guessing you've never worked on a large software project. Do you have any idea how much "only 1/3rd of the source code" is? I can tell you it's not "mostly useless".
