HL2:E1: I'm stuck!

I'm a bit stumped. How does one get through the water? There's one barrel to float on- not nearly enough.

By the power switch, there's a metal walkway along the wall, broken towards the middle of the room.
Put the barrel under the end of the walkway (at the middle of the room).
Then walk back to the switch, turn on the power.
Walk on the walkway until there's a break, sprint and jump over the small hole, then turn right and hop onto the pipes, towards the room with windows where you originally came in. Go into that room, out through the window, land on the walkway, and go through the now-open door.

Something like that, I'm going from memory.

Heh, i was stuck here for a while. I just didnt realise the switch opened the door. Basically what he said, cept i din use the barrel, i just got a little electric shock jumping the break in the walkway, thats how i roll.

What about the underground section with the antlion burrow? I can't figure out what to do - the wheel that I was supposed to turn did not seem to have an end?
