Here is a thought that I've been having. In this day of the wealthy buying time ,favor and results, Does it seem plausible for Valve/Vivendi to take lobbying intrests in mind when delaying product?.... Just a thought it goes on every where else...Bkool

Huh? The only reason I could think of the delay is because of the hacking.

no no no no

it's because Steam their downloading pay to use service isn't ready. And you know they want you to HAVE to use that to download patches and such.

nVidia probably should have bribed Valve/Vivendi to delay Half-Life 2, but they probably couldn't offer vivendi anywhere near enough money to make it worth their while.

Microsoft can afford to do this (as with KOTOR) but they're subsidizing the Xbox out of their insanely huge pile of Windows monopoly profits. nViidia isn't the one with 40+ billion in spare cash.

Microsoft has far more than 40 billion in spare cash. That's just Bill Gates' net worth.

No, last I checked MS had 45-55 billion, but some of that was going to be paid out as dividends and a couple of billion to settle some of the pending monopoly abuse cases. I may be off by 10-20 billion(!) but that's not really "far more." :)

Oh puleeze... Games get delayed all the time and in the end does it really matter? Regardless of who's to blame we all have to wait and no amount of biatching is going to fix it. I was looking forward to it like everyone else but it didn't happen and life goes on...

Yes and while we are at it lets blame Nvidia for killing JFK, the slow economy, and my lackluster kung pow chicken I had last night.

Yes it`s a known fact that games get delayed for one reason or another,I would rather have a game later which is more stable and has less bugs then a game released early, patience is the name of the game ;).

Would it really matter if I went over to your house and killed you? I mean the world would go on and all.

Very true, patience is a very important thing. The only time I don't like it is when its used for some other reason they don't state, but as long as it turns out fine in the end, I'm ok.

Uh, exactly WTF was the reason for that? I talk about a game delay and you talk about killing me? You sir are an a-hole. Come to think of it, why don't you come over to my house? I'll introduce you to Pietro Beretta...
