All drivers installed, Freshly formatted, Not many background tasks running.

Half Life 2: Runs flawless on high settings, no aa, no af, no vsync, ext. options on. But during loading times and before/after and somtimes in between i get bad lag spikes and studder problems. It also seems like my games are taking forever to open up.

Battlefeild 2: Medium, adv options off, 800x600, runs great after being in server for 5-10 minutes, randomly closes out somtimes.. But if I set it any higher the game runs like its choaking on somthing.

Guild Wars: Runs fine for the most part but randomly freezes requiring restart, and somtimes it runs a little etchy and load times can be slow.

PLEASE I need help with this... Thanks in advance.

I rechecked my wiring and stuff too, and most of my components are new: Motherboard/CPU/Graphics Card/PSU/HDD.

They tell the computer how to talk to your motherboard hard drive controllers. If you happen to get BAD IDE drivers, it'll make load times suck ass, and will cause stuttering every time it needs to load.

Thanks, Load times are a little better now... But I still have in-game problems somewhat and my computer still runs a little slow.

How long as it been since you formatted? Formatting can be a huge help, depending what is running and bloating up your system, as well as then you have the ability to have a clean install of new drivers for your chipset, video, audio, etc ..

Try defragmenting the hard drive(s). And not with the XP version; get Diskeeper or PerfectDisk.
