HL2 Antialiasing?

I have a 7900GT with 91.31 drivers and AA doesnt seem to work at all. when I turn it on to 2x - 6X I notice no difference and filtering doesnt seem to change anything either. the performance is the same reguardless too. Im just playing the first version, not episode 1. anyone else experience this?

im assuming you're changing it with the option in game. make sure your drivers are set to "application controlled"

Set it to App Control in the drivers for AA/AF.

Then adjust the ingame settings. This problem doesn't happen for me in HL2, but it does happen in Dark Messiah of Might and Magic (Demo) (same engine).

Use the control panel to force driver AA. It's much simpler that way.

You can't use 6X AA just in case you're trying to use it.

yea its for ATI only.

the best AA you can get through the game is 4xAA, if u want anything better use the driver controls.

Just use net_graph 3 and check if the FPS is changing at all when you switch. 😉

would he even notice that much of a difference using 2X antialiasing?
