HL vs HL:S vs HL: Blue Shift (with HD pack)

anything with water, obviously HL:S will win. but other than that, i see no point to buying HL:S

There's a community project to bring higher res textures to HL:S and another project to have better models. Both are pretty far from done though.

lighting & water is a huge diff IMO. I got HL:CE for $60, so its worth it to me to have it all on one DVD w/HL:S & all 🙂

Not only the textures, but an entire new game really. Same story, same characters, same basic maps and such, but everything will be completely re-done... models, textures, maps (new detail, no real content difference)... I'd so buy that.

Yeah me too definitely... Hopefully it comes out eventually... (though I'm not waiting for it)

Wow, looks pretty weak to me. I thought HL:S was going to be a much more dramatic difference, basically the HL1 storyline but looking like HL2. Disappointing...
