I was wondering what is better for Half-Life Blue Shift. OpenGL or Direct3D? Both of them look strange somehow. I have a Voodoo5 card.
I do not know which one is faster etc, since I do not know how to benchmark in the BlueShift. I remember there was something with HL and D3D drivers. Is it fixed in Blue Shift? For me D3D looks better than OGL for some reason.

Do a search for WickedGL by Wicked3d.com
you can purchase or download a trial version of it at Wicked3d.com but you should beable to find the full version for free out and about....

WickedGL greatly improves OpenGL performance on the Voodoo Glide cards
my FPS was maxed out in HL with my old Voodoo 3 3000

the great thing, the changes are not global but on a per game basis

just a suggestion

Normally, I'd say OpenGL, but since you've got a 3dfx-based card, I agree with FiveDoubleO. Use the miniGL.
